Description
This beautiful silk scarf is part of a capsule collection by local artist and designer Joanna Craig, designed exclusively for DCA Shop.
In collaboration with our Shop team, she has created three abstract designs inspired by Dundee and its relationship with the river that runs alongside it.
"This collection came directly from my translation of the city; the energy, the vibrancy, a little darkness and a whole lot of bright. I spent time studying its edge at the Tay, stood looking out across the water and feeling the city radiate out; the intensity of life behind me, the huge high skies above. This became the language, the energy I wanted to communicate with my colours and brushstrokes." Joanna Craig
These silks have been printed and finished entirely in Scotland and are available in three different designs:

About Joanna Craig
Born in Scotland and based in Dundee, Joanna Craig’s work focuses on studies and observations of the land, and the beauty of colours, lines and form found among these landscapes. She uses drawings and paintings, focusing on brush strokes and pencil marks to create bold and striking images and patterns. Moving from paper to silk, Joanna has created a collection of wearable silk scarves which are printed in Scotland.
