About the publication

This publication was developed as part of American artist Eve Fowler's exhibition what a slight. what a sound, what a universal shudder. at Dundee Contemporary Arts. The first major European presentation of Fowler’s work, this exhibition reflects and further expands on Fowler's intense and intimate engagement with the words of Gertrude Stein over the past eight years.

This soft cover book features newly commissioned texts by writers and poets Sophie Collins, Eileen Myles and Litia Perta, with an introduction by DCA Director Beth Bate and a conversation between Eve Fowler and DCA Head of Exhibitions Eoin Dara alongside images of the artist’s exhibited works.
