About the edition
The DCA 2008 exhibition Straight Letters presented new work by Camilla Løw created specifically for the DCA galleries together with recent sculpture, later travelling to the Pier Arts Centre, Orkney. The artist’s first solo exhibition in the UK, the title Straight Letters reflects her particular interest in the relationship between typography, architecture and sculpture.
These limited edition prints were produced by the artist in the Print Studio and Untitled (black) was shown in the gallery. These bodies of work are reminiscent of the purist forms of Minimalist or Constructivist works, whilst allowing references to industrial fabrication and contemporary art histories. These beautiful prints capture translucent planes of shifting colour suspended within the page.
